We all know that nothing says Valentine better than heart-shaped box of chocolate, red roses, and Valentine’s card. But what can make it more special and personal, is something homemade. Like dinner. With dessert. And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we are treating you with easy-to-make dessert recipe, we guarantee everyone will love. Raspberry sweet rolls dessert. They look fantastic and taste heavenly.

First things first.

Prepare your ingredients – dry ones you’ll find in your cupboards and fresh ones in your fridge, check out our range of refrigerators.

INGREDIENTS

  • - 14 g fresh yeast
  • - 70 g sugar
  • - 100 ml water
  • - 500 g plain flour
  • - 2 tsp vanilla flavour
  • - 100 ml milk
  • - 100 g butter
  • - 2 eggs
  • - 100 g brown sugar
  • - 500 g raspberries
  • - 50 g white sugar
  • - Lemon juice of 1 lemon
  • - 1 tsp corn starch
  • - 125 g cream cheese
  • - 100 g powder sugar

Next Step …

In a small bowl add fresh yeast, a teaspoon of sugar and tablespoon of flour, and add a little bit of lukewarm water. Stir with a spoon and set aside for about ten minutes. In a bigger bowl mix 500 g of flour, 70 g of sugar, 2 tsp of vanilla and fermented yeast. Mix gently and then add 100 g of melted butter and 100 ml of milk. Add 2 eggs and mix everything well. Knead until you get smooth silk-like dough. Preheat oven (check out our range of ovens) on rising and proofing program and let rise to double the size, for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile mix fresh raspberries, white sugar, lemon juice and cornstarch and set it aside. When the dough is risen, divide it into two parts. Roll both into a rectangle 1 cm thick. Sprinkle the dough with brown sugar and spread the raspberry mixture evenly on top. Roll the dough into a roll and cut into evenly sized pieces. Repeat the same with the second dough. Stuff the rolls into your baking pan, leaving space between each one so they have room to expand. Bake at 180 °C for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. In a small bowl, whisk the powder sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add more sugar or cream, depending how thick you want the glaze. Pour glaze over the rolls and serve warm.
