National Storytelling Week: Hisense’s Top 5 ones to watch this February

24.01.2024

Mr and Mrs Smith (Prime Video February 2nd)

We all know the Brad and Angelina classic, but this Donald Glover reboot is a new take on the blockbuster original. Paired with crowd favourite Maya Erskine, this show version follows two spies posing as a married couple, until the honeymoon period ends abruptly when they uncover each other’s true identity. When you do settle down to give this series a watch, do it right with a U7K. Its Total HDR solution allows you to get the best from your viewing experience by being compatible with a wide variety of HDR formats, such as HDR10+ and HLG!

Constellation (Apple TV+ February 21st)

If you fancy a physiological thriller, then our favourite would be Constellation. Galactic scenery is the backdrop of this creative take on a sci-fi thriller, as you follow astronaut Jo as she starts to question her whole reality after landing back on earth. The scale of this film is truly remarkable, making it the perfect masterpiece to watch on a huge screen. For that you’re going to need top quality tech, well that’s no problem with the excellence of the PX1 Pro. Boasting an impressive Colour Gamit that reaches 107% of the BT.2020 colour space, this breathtaking film will be able to shine in all its glory on a PX1 PRO.

The New Look (Apple TV+ February 14th)

This biopic of Christian Dior recounts the fashion journey of one of the worlds biggest designer brands. In post-war Paris, we follow the journey that led the designer to forge a new movement in the clothing industry. Featuring stars such as Maisie Williams, this film is certainly worth the watch. If you want to feel like you’re really there then the picture quality on the U7K is our favourite solution. Thanks to its Mini-LED tech, the U7K is able to deliver phenomenal detail making it perfect for maintaining the crisp and vivid picture of the film or series you’re watching.

Shogun (Disney+ February 27th)

You know the storytelling is going to be good for a series when it’s based on a critically acclaimed book, especially one by author James Clavell. Telling the story of war lords during 17th-century Japan, this 10-episode extravaganza will truly get you hooked from the beginning. This creative take on the book is perfectly bingeable, and the U7K does it every bit of justice. With Quantum Dot Colour, the U7K ability to emit precise wavelengths of light is pure excellence. This means it can produce a vast array of different colours, perfect for this epic series with its breathtaking scenes.

One Day (Netflix February 8th)

Another series based on a book is One Day. Already a big screen success, this new series has been rethought and produced by Netflix. The lead roles are played by Ambika Mod and Leo Woodhall, whose performances are true excellence, with their story spanning over a decade. We closely follow the characters of Emma and Dexter as they navigate friendship, love and everything in between. The U7K’s HI-View Engine is also another one of our favourite key features that makes watching anything that bit better. The magic that keeps your TV running smoothly, this intelligent processor consistently optimizes the picture and sound, with the ability to upscale to 4k and enhance colour!
