04.01.24

Hisense recently partnered up with OTE Sports to whip up some delicious brownies with only four ingredients! Now it’s the new year we all want to eat cleaner and put only the best into our bodies, that’s why we knew this super simple brownie recipe was the perfect way to enjoy a guilt free treat. Using OTE Protein Powder really takes these brownies to the next level since not only are OTE products flavoured naturally, but the kick of protein also makes them that bit healthier.

OTE offers a range of naturally flavoured energy products and recovery drinks that are expertly researched and developed by a team of sports nutritionists and athletes who strive for excellence. This allows them to prioritise effectiveness and functionality whilst also ensuring their products taste good too. They provide a whole host of different quality products so there’s something for all types of athletes. We even showed them our brownie recipe and it’s safe to say there were no crumbs left on the plate afterwards. So, keep reading to find out how you can make these tasty treats too!

Ingredients

- 2 ripe bananas

- 125g of almond butter

- 125g OTE protein powder (OTE protein powder comes in all your favourite flavours, perfect for mixing up this recipe when you want a change)

- 62g cocoa powder

- Salt (this is optional and helps enhance sweet flavours)

*You can also customise this recipe to your liking by adding your choice of mix-ins like dark chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Be as creative as you like!

Method

Start of by making the batter by simply adding all the ingredients to a food processor and blending until fully combined. If you are in the mood to add some extras like chocolate chips, you can add those now too! Don’t worry if you don’t have access to a food processor though, this can all be done by hand in a large mixing bowl, a good option if you want to work out those arm muscles.

Once happy with the mixture, pop the batter into a lined baking tray and bake for around 15 to 20 minutes. We used a Hisense oven due to its amazing tech such as Even Bake, which ensures that food is evenly cooked and there are no raw or burnt bits. To check when they’re ready you can poke a skewer in until in come out nice and clean. Then you can take it out, and whilst it’s still hot gently press the top to help form those characteristic cracks on the top of the brownies.

Give the brownies time to cool and then you can slice them up and perhaps drizzle some melted chocolate on top for an added flourish.

You can store any leftover brownies in the fridge in a sealed container for up to five days, although we highly doubt there will be any leftovers. You can also freeze these brownies in an airtight container and store for a whopping six months too!

Nutritious and healthy food doesn’t need to compromise on taste, so try this recipe out using OTE and enjoy a guilt free snack.
