Hisense began in 1969 as a manufacturer of radios in Qingdao, China. Ten years later, we were manufacturing TV's. Since then, Hisense has grown to become one of the world's leading, most trusted consumer electronics and appliance brands, with offices and factories in every corner of the globe. 

History timeline

Qingdao No.2 Radio Factory was established.
Completion of factory relocation securing the first piece of land with full ownership rights.
Hisense introduced the world-class colour TV production line.
Hisense established the enterprise spirit; work hard to start a business, strictly implement policy, seek truth from facts, be enthusiastic and press on.
"Qingdao brand" was officially renamed "Hisense", with a new trademark officially registered in March.
Hisense introduced frequency conversion technology in China and established an air conditioning company.
Hisense Electronics A shares were listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Official launch of the new VI System to unify the company's image across its global operations.
Hisense entered the telecommunications industry marking a significant expansion into new markets.
Hisense established a joint venture with Hitachi and entered the large commercial air conditioner market. Hisense developed optical communication technologies and products. Hisense acquired Beijing Snowflake Refrigerator Factory.
Hisense launched China's first digital video post-processing chip with independent intellectual property rights.
Hisense launched the globalisation strategy and put more emphasis on overseas development including the acquisition of Kelon Electrical.
Hisense launched washing machine products.
Hisense launched the world's first 100-inch ultra-short throw laser TV.
Hisense purchased all equity and assets of Sharp's TV factory in Mexico.
Hisense named 2018 FIFA World Cup™ official sponsor for the tournament in Russia.
Hisense celebrated 50 years of pushing the boundaries of innovation in consumer electronics.
Hisense released China's first fully developed AI image processing chip for 8K TVs.
Hisense became official FIFA World Cup 2022™ sponsor for the tournament in Qatar.
